Terms of Use
The basics of using Craftock. This is an MVP draft — review with counsel before production use.
What Craftock is
A launchpad for student innovation, collaboration, competitions, and crowdfunding. This is an MVP / sandbox build for demonstration and pilots.
Who can have an account
Accounts are for people 18 and over, and for younger people whose parent or legal guardian gives permission from their own account at craftock.com/parent; under Indian law, anyone under 18 needs that permission first. An account made with permission can do everything an adult's can except back a campaign. Anyone can browse projects, competitions and Think Tank without an account.
Parents and guardians
If you give permission for a child, you confirm you are their parent or legal guardian and 18 or older, and you agree to these terms and the privacy policy on their behalf. You can see or withdraw every permission from Settings → Family. Withdrawing ends the child's account: it is deleted, or, if it holds work others rely on, closed with their name, photo and profile details removed. While a child's account stands on your permission, you cannot leave the platform yourself; withdraw it first.
Agreeing to these terms
Creating an account means agreeing to these terms and the privacy policy: yourself, confirming you are 18 or older, or, for someone younger, through their parent's or guardian's permission. We record which version was agreed to, and when. When they change, everyone is asked to agree once more, and a parent agrees again for their child.
No real money movement
All funding, campaigns, and payouts shown are simulated. Craftock does not process payments or move real money in this version.
Verification & conduct
Students represent themselves honestly during verification. Institutions verify their own students and review submissions. Misrepresentation, plagiarism, or abuse may lead to removal.
Ownership
Creators keep ownership of their project ideas and content. Craftock shows approved projects in the public showcase and to partner institutions and sponsors.
Using AI assistance
Craftock's AI features use OpenAI to process the information described in the Privacy Policy, including permitted shared project work. Montage offers suggestions for people to review; it does not decide competition winners, verification or payments. AI answers can be wrong or incomplete. Check them before using or publishing them. Using AI does not transfer ownership of your original project content to Craftock. Send only information you are entitled to provide for the described purpose, and avoid personal details or confidential information belonging to others. Parents and guardians reviewing these terms for a child should also review the AI sections of the Privacy Policy, including what is sent and who can read the answers.
Institution & sponsor roles
Competitions define their owner, verifier, final approver, and similarity-review settings. Final approval authority stays with the named institution or platform admin.
